More about this project

TaxPilot is my ongoing business software project. It helps users organise records and prepare summaries. It does not lodge tax returns or BAS. The visual above is a portfolio illustration, not a screenshot of the app.

02 / A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Curiosity is
the starting point.

BASED IN MELBOURNE.
OPEN TO NEW IDEAS.

I like the moment when an idea stops being abstract and starts becoming useful.

I’m Javid Abid, based in Melbourne, Australia. I’m developing TaxPilot while learning through the full process of building web and mobile products.

My experience as a gig worker gives me a personal connection to the admin that sole traders face. That experience shapes the problems I choose to work on.

I care about clear design, practical decisions and steady improvement. This is a place to share what I’m making as it grows.

MY APPROACH

Simple principles.
Better decisions.

01

Find the useful problem.

Start with something people actually encounter. Understand the everyday details before deciding what to build.

02

Make it feel clear.

Straightforward language, considered layouts and fewer unnecessary steps. The small details make a difference.

03

Build. Learn. Improve.

Test ideas, work through the rough edges and keep refining. Each project is an opportunity to get better.

03 / LET’S CONNECT

Have something
in mind?

An idea, a question or a possible collaboration.
I’d like to hear from you.
